Privacy Statement

At ProtectorNet, we prioritize the security and privacy of your data. This Privacy Statement outlines our practices for handling sensitive security information while providing advanced cybersecurity services.

1. Security Data Collection

Our cybersecurity platform collects:

  • Security Metrics: Network traffic patterns, threat indicators, and system logs
  • URL Analysis Data: Website security assessments and scan results
  • Threat Intelligence: Security event data and incident reports
  • Authentication Data: Access logs and security credentials
  • Network Data: Traffic analysis and security monitoring data

2a. Surface Intelligence & Reconnaissance Data

When you use our Digital Surface Intelligence and surface analysis features, we collect and process:

  • Domain/URL Metadata: Headers, SSL/TLS certificates, DNS records, WHOIS data, and HTTP response information
  • Surface Analysis Results: Exposed files, configuration issues, security headers, and infrastructure information
  • Reconnaissance Data: Network topology insights, service fingerprinting, and technology detection results
  • Scan Parameters: Regions, priority levels, service selections, and analysis scope
  • Historical Analysis: Previous scans for comparative threat trend analysis

Important: You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for ensuring you have authorization to analyze any domain or system submitted for surface analysis. ProtectorNet does not verify ownership or authorization-this responsibility rests entirely with you.

2b. Data Protection for Sensitive Analysis Results

We implement enterprise-grade security measures:

  • AES-256 encryption for data at rest
  • TLS 1.3 for all data in transit
  • Multi-factor authentication for data access
  • Regular security audits and penetration testing
  • 24/7 security monitoring and incident response

3. Use of Security Information

Your security data helps us:

  • Identify and prevent security threats
  • Generate threat intelligence reports
  • Improve detection algorithms
  • Update security signatures
  • Enhance automated response systems

4. Data Retention Policy

Our retention schedules are security-focused:

  • Security logs: 12 months (or as required by compliance)
  • Threat intelligence: 24 months for pattern analysis
  • Scan results: 6 months for comparative analysis
  • Authentication logs: 12 months for audit purposes

5. Information Sharing & Legal Compliance

We may share anonymized security data with:

  • Cybersecurity partners for threat analysis
  • Law enforcement for cybercrime investigation
  • CERTs for coordinated threat response
  • Regulatory bodies for compliance purposes

Important: When you use Surface Intelligence features, metadata and reconnaissance results may be stored, analyzed, and shared with security partners to improve threat detection. All shared data is anonymized where possible, but reconnaissance results inherently contain technical details about scanned infrastructure. You are responsible for ensuring such data is handled appropriately.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We utilize standard tracking technologies to ensure platform security and functionality:

  • Essential cookies for secure authentication and session management
  • Security beacons to detect and prevent unauthorized access
  • Performance analytics to monitor system health and speed
  • Preference storage to maintain your dashboard settings

7a. User Consent & Acknowledgment for Surface Analysis

By submitting domains or URLs for Digital Surface Intelligence analysis, you expressly:

  • Confirm you have explicit authorization to perform reconnaissance on the submitted domain or system
  • Acknowledge that ProtectorNet performs both passive OSINT and active network scanning
  • Accept full responsibility for any legal consequences arising from your submission
  • Release ProtectorNet from any liability related to unauthorized access claims or computer fraud allegations
  • Understand that reconnaissance data may reveal sensitive infrastructure information, and you are responsible for protecting such data

7b. Liability Waiver for Reconnaissance Activities

ProtectorNet provides reconnaissance and surface analysis tools on an "as provided" basis. You understand that:

  • You are using these tools at your own risk
  • ProtectorNet does not verify your authorization or compliance with applicable laws
  • ProtectorNet assumes no liability for misuse, unauthorized access, or legal violations resulting from your use
  • You agree to indemnify ProtectorNet against any claims arising from unauthorized use of the Service

8. Your Security Rights

You maintain control with rights to:

  • Access security reports and analytics
  • Request data deletion (subject to compliance)
